The band unfortunately has decided to call the band Blackwater quits....

During the year of 2008, the band was merely burned out....People stopped coming to shows.....It became hard to keep up, and even harder to book shows without a singer. Thats another story....No Vocals! Blackwater had many guys and gals try out but it was never meant to be. We never wanted to short ourselves when it came to music, so we never felt comfortable with any of the people we had sing for us. We want only the best and will not settle for mediocre. and besides we have to end the name Blackwater because we have seen about 3 bands here in fort worth with the name blackwater in their title.....but we all know our Blackwater is the more rockin'

So this closes a chapter in our lives here in Blackwater...We were really hoping to at least make a nice little scar on the Fort Worth Rock scene....we did ok.....there for awhile people knew our name and our game. We sold some shirts, made some friends, met some girls, smashed some guitars, made some enemies, and had a hell of a time as Blackwater. Its never as easy as it looks from the outside though.....bands cost money.....its really a business....people stop caring, then clubs don't book you....especially with no singer.

We will never forget those great rockin' shows....we love to see people out of the blue wear our shirts....thanks to those that cared.....that payed to see us.....that bought a shirt.....that made our website D & J..... we wish we had more time to talk to you guys and gals at shows and in general.... the good news though is that everything is starting over....keep your eyes out for a new band name, new songs, new shirts, new style, maybe even new members.......
